Paris train hero weighs in on Daniel Penny trial

The veteran who helped thwart a terror attack on a train from Amsterdam to Paris in 2015 is warning that Daniel Penny's manslaughter trial is concerning to all those who think of themselves as "someone who would step up."

It has been reported that the decedent had a pulse when law enforcement arrived. They did not initiate CPR because of the man's extremely poor hygiene and out of concern that they would contract some disease from him. It begs the question whether he would have survived if life-saving measures were taken, but we'll never know the answer to that question because law enforcement did nothing. Meanwhile, Daniel Penny is being made into a scapegoat so that some people can make an example out of him, and the man in the video is absolutely right, punishing Penny for trying to help the innocent people on the train is going to make "good Samaritans" less likely to come to the aid of others in need.
