thanks for the comparison vid I use an At Pro atm and am toying with the idea of the At Gold, I do a lot of beach work as well as farm and woodland, im now thinking it might be worth keeping the At Pro though for the beach instead of selling it

AT gold can be a pain in the butt when working in heavily trashed areas. i usually keep my disc at 30 but I cant even pick out a target (gold nugget or coin). The sounds blend into a jumble of high and low pitches.

At 18Khz it should be enough to find gold, keeping in mind that 10ft is more than enough. It's not a cheap detector, but I'm planning on buying it.
