Your TedxTalk was awesome. Gonna post in my home the following takeaways: 1) The 5 Pillars of Wellness, 2) "The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step", and 3) "I can improve my life no matter what is happening by starting with little healthy habits". Thank you for the motivation to live a more healthy and productive lifestyle.

I love how she encourages mental health professionals to learn from their clients' lived experiences. Expertise comes in many forms, it's important to be open to all of them

I love how she empowers us to take control of our lives with small, daily choices. We've got more power than we realize and it's lovely to have a reminder of that!

No matter what life throws at us, we can always find ways to improve our situation. That's a message of hope right there

It's so true that our brains are always looking for something to worry about. Practicing gratitude seems like the perfect way to counter that, thanks for the tip!

The talk has me reflecting on my own journey with therapy. I'm grateful for the therapists who have partnered with me and helped me grow. It's a reminder of how powerful that relationship can be.

Great presentation! I enjoyed listening to you. I agree with you every little step counts. We shall take it together.

Her point about social media influencers being a primary source of mental health advice is spot on. I've fallen into that trap myself. It's scary to think how much misinformation is out there. We need better education on finding reliable sources.

Wonderful! I found myself doing counter push ups while listening. 😊 Every step does count. ❤

Great talk, I've been struggling with my mental health for years and always felt like something was missing in the treatment. The idea of looking at it from multiple angles makes so much sense.

Absolutely - NO ONE should engage in ANY "psycho"-therapy without a thorough medical clearance examination, but for how many therapists is this a standard of care? Client expertise, preferences, values and world view can't provide this clearance, nor can any non-medical assessment (but DSM DOES say, for every diagnosis, it's valid ONLY when "not due to another medical condition"). Translation delay (from research to regular practice) is well known to be, on average, decades. The 5 pillars of health have been known for decades - why they are not already engaged in by most people remains the mystery of Culture (i.e. that which tells us how to think, so we come up with culturally congruent values/answers.). Love ya, Diane.

That story about the client who started with one push-up and ended up running a marathon is exactly the kind of inspiration I needed today, thank you

Knowing that even mental health experts have struggled and found ways to overcome helps me feel less broken. We're all human.

I'm definitely trying that trick of pairing a new habit with something I already do, like exercising while my coffee brews. So smart!

This is like a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other talks on mental health. Thank you.

Change is hard, no doubt about it. But she is right - it takes discipline and dedication, but it's so worth it in the end.

It's comforting to know that resistance to change is normal. It doesn't mean I'm a lost cause.
