What is a PIP aka Performance Improvement Plan

I recently made the decision to leave my job, and I have no regrets about it. It's interesting how my manager and project manager suddenly started acting friendly once they realized I quit, which seems to have been their plan all along. I suppose they got what they wanted, as now they can go through the hiring process again and hopefully find someone who is more willing to be bossed around by them.

Pro tip: continue to do an aggressive job search after accepting a job offer and during the 90 day probationary period. It takes employers weeks or even months to respond to your application and it doesn't take very long to know if you see yourself in your current role on day 91. 99% of the time if you pass 90 days the job is a decent enough fit. However, don't completely stop looking for jobs after you pass probation; just scale back a bit.

Say to them I need 24 hours to review the document before signing it also clarifying when the PIP will be put in place

If this really happened to me, I won’t sign anything and refused to sign means that I will go looking for a new job

Mostly true. 90% of the time if they want to fire you, your performance is way below average
