I make loud noises when I stand and the grocery store plays my favorite band... also, our poor babysitter. #turningintoyourparents #parody #comedy

Everyone thinking the neighbor didn't see him.

The neighbor: Nah, I'm just desensitized to this by now.

Your poor neighbors. I can just imagine a Mrs. Kravitz type living across the street. "Abner, there's something strange going on at the Holderness place. Penn's dancing in his yard wearing a wig. ABNER!"

I like how the babysitter “walks” home 😆😆

You forgot about the most dad thing of all, sitting on the couch with his eyes closed and when asked if he's taking a nap he says he's resting his eyes.😂 My dad did this constantly when I was growing up.

The neighbor doesn’t even look to see what he is doing THIS TIME.

At age 57, I can say but two things about this video: 1) It’s too, too true — in many ways we do become our parents, and 2) when our maturing children roll their eyes at how uncool we have become, we can smile on the inside knowing that they WILL experience the same thing. Great video!

I knew I crossed over when I told a child (I didn't know) that was standing on a chair in McDonald's to get down...and he did. Oh my goodness, I'm my mom!

"What motivates you to get out of bed every morning?" My bladder.

What this video really drives home is that the world desperately needs a Holderness Family / Weird Al collab.

It's quite shocking when you first start becoming your parents. 😱 You try to deny/squelch/avoid the newly adopted tendencies. As the condition progresses, you try to control it by focusing on the 'favorable' qualities of said parent in the hope that no one will notice the embarrassing ones. 😕You know you're fully formed when you finally give up and embrace the awkward quirkiness of this metamorphosis, because you now know that life is simply too short to fight the inevitable. 😏And when someone says you're like your parent, you say "thank you" and your heart is warm.😊❤

What’s funny is when he is dressed like his dad he strangely looks like an older version of “Weird Al” who also did a parody of this song.

My knee creaks like a haunted house door when I get off my couch lol. This was wonderful. My dad would have loved this. ( R.I.P. Dad )

LOL....spot on. I noticed the neighbor before it was mentioned at the end. She is like ....just another day with those ppl as our neighbors, i will just pretend they are not there. What is even more hilarious is that right before she walked by, i was thinking i would love to be your neighbor.

oh and another sign of becoming old/your parents is when you go to amusement parks, you would rather sit and watch the stage shows than ride the rides. LOL

We recently moved into a new home that's more like the one that my husband grew up in. Only, I didn't know that it would mean he would simultaneously turn into his parents. It's like living those commercials that joke about kids turning into their parents once they get insurance. He's even sending out of focused photos of wildlife with the animal circled to a group family chat and then they all chat about said animal for a while. 😅

The socks! 😆 I remember when I was 5 watching my dad play on a men's volleyball team. I kept staring at their socks, not the game. I still don't get why sports socks were so tall with the bands of colors at the top. He never once said, "Whew those socks sure protected my shins." LOL

I always love your videos. Yesterday it was 90 when we drove to the movie theater and I told my husband I needed air conditioning in the car. He said "What did we all do before air conditioning." I said "I got car sick. And don't turn into THAT person." He is more like his dad every day and I have to point out that not all dad's characteristics are favorable. Now I need to look at my characteristics. My mom was a pretty great person. I would do well with some of her in me.

I don’t have kids, I’m just 45. The amount of stuff I could relate to is still amazing! Awesome job! I laughed my head off!
