As a person who currently has 2 family members battling prostate cancer, on in his early 50s and the other who is 80 years old, i actually appreciate the Kings candidness and his desire to raise awareness of the issue. My brother in law was lucky and his was caught early and simply needed an operation to treat his cancer. My 80 year old uncle however has been suffering the effects of the cancer and its treatments for 7 years and unfortunately it recently spread to his spine.
Men need to be encouraged to get it checked.

I think King Charles III simply made the public aware because it is something every male should have checked and take action before it is too late to operate and save a life. We all need to thank him for his honesty and wish him a very speedy recovery, and I also wish Catherine a speedy recovery.

I think it's very commendable that King Charles has allowed that news to be published. It might make many men sit up and take notice and GET TREATMENT!! About 30 years ago, I lost a beloved Uncle at 62 because he was too embarrassed to tell anyone he was having problems. He would have lived many more years and seen his great-grandchildren had he known how common his problem was and asked for help. Hopefully men will think, if the King can have this problem, well I'm in good company!
