Sofia is one of the oldest cities in Europe, and the Thracians established it. It later became an important city in the Roman Empire. In 1879, it became the capital of Bulgaria, a year after the country was liberated from 500 years of Turkish enslavement. Clean and cheap for stay city, people are very friendly and polite, a lots of stylish architecture during the different era of this rich with history city, I found this gem on my next trip for more days...I'm coming this year again.
