This car has aged like a fine wine. A timeless design for sure.

Those wheels are an absofreakinlutely perfect fit for the car! The whole car in general looks fantastic! I'm almost kinda tempted to start looking for one. That's a lot of factory power for the little money you paid for it. Great buy!

had to put a thumbs up and subscribe, it takes dedication to record and document your process and put that much time and effort into making such a video with so much details with even actual pricing and numbers. Much love man!

My Dad owned a 2004, S55 AMG. It was the only car that would put a huge foolish smile on my face, and even on the faces of the passengers, every time I would floor it. I called it a point-and-shoot car, because it did exactly that when being driven on the highway. You'd find a gap in traffic, 'squeeze' the accelerator, and it would fill that gap almost instantly. I even had highway patrol officers wanting to run with me on the highway, just so that they could hear the exhaust note coming out the back (they were all good about it. Thumbs up after a short run too!).

It's an iconic sedan. Period. Nothing comes close to it of its time. It was a family sedan with performance out of a nightmare horror movie! Even 911's would get out of the way when they'd see me pull up behind them on the highway in the fast lane. The Kleeman compressor was the icing on the cake for that car; a bolt-on supercharger that would push it up to 600bhp.

A great car if you're a DIY mechanic. Otherwise, forget owning that car. The repair costs are through the ROOF (including parts)! But if you shop around, you can find great aftermarket parts that keep them running in tip top shape. If you run that car hard, it will require regular inspection and maintenance. It's a sedan that keeps on giving! Great buy! Lucky you!

A plethora of information right here Alex. Love the back story and mechanicals on your E55(and that panoramic roof of course). Plus at barely over three years on YouTube, and almost 25 million views, you know your stuff. Congrats on being my most favorite channel to watch!

Personally I like the exterior looks of this compared to the 2018 E63

I was SO close to buying this car, but I went with the ISF bc the reliability is KILLER for a high performance car, I have mad respect for the e55

just bought a 2005 E55, kinda wanted a black one but i found a really nice silver one with 91, 000 miles and an extensive service history from the first owner, who owned it for 10 years in florida. had it checked out, used some of the faults in the price, got it for $11, 333! holy shit what a car hahaha... it genuinely forces you to smile. once your brain catches up with how quickly you just passed someone you basically have no choice but to start giggling

"It's a 14 year old European car"

Wait, what? We're living in some sort of alternate reality where American cars aren't absolutely shite?

11, 300 but doing all the work yourself! For the average person the labour charges would raise the price a lot. Lovely car though.
