How smart cats really are

Being smart or being intelligent may not be the same thing, we still consider animals as smart, because they don’t act stupid like human and race between who is smarter: cats or dogs or if you are a cat person or dog person is endless. But I took a look at the anatomy of brain and what is actual difference between us and cats, cerebral cortex is not much different with between human and cats and specially birman casts ;)

My cat is the most intelligent being in my family.

I had a Burmese cat and I can swear she understood what I was saying. I'm not joking. I know may sound like a cat fan bs but I'm very objective. I was amazed how smart she was. She passed and I was so hurt I never want to go through such a trauma and I will never get a other cat.

When my cat was injured after a fight, his rear left leg was hurt badly. He couldn't walk or stand, after his first aid I took him on my blanket bc he was sleepy after some hours he started meowing very loudly I couldn't understand why and he was pointing down his head and continuously looked at me. Then peed on my blanket XD. now I know why he was doing that. And I'm amazed that how he wanted to communicate with me understanding that I will definitely take him on his litter box

They are so smart. You can tell by their eyes. They are always working you out

Our four month old cat figured out how to open the cat door- when it's locked. Even the adult cats haven't figured that out.

My cat ozzy is smarter then me cause he showed up at 2 months old. Demanded inside, food, water and a bed and never left and wakes me up every day for his needs for 2 years and I always obey...😂

I'd like to be living in a cat's brain for 1 day. Cats have memory so I might have saved some experience in this case

I've been a cat lover my whole life and I've always known them to be intelligent. Dog's are intelligent too but they have have intelligence in different ways.

Well you know play with your cat and kitten is just hunting practice. I was lucky to live on a farm growing up, and found a jet black kitten under the porch when we moved in. We adopted her right away. She had free roam of the house and farm. She was really really smart tho. she knew when we did not feel good, she knew how to get on the roof via TV antenna. she would meet me at the driveway, and bring us gifts. Ive known and had cats since, But none have matched her intellect. I miss Pickles.

I don’t know about other cats but mine are incredibly smart, they’re only lacking speaking clearly, they understand absolutely everything with no training or any treats. They’re amazing and I love them so much.

My 11 month old cat can both push and pull doors, and does not fall for the flea pill in a wad of turkey trick. She will nibble around the flea pill but eat all the turkey. Cats are smarter than most people think

One of my cats is stupidly smart and taught himself to open doors and use the toilet

If my Ragdoll could reach the pedals, I'm sure she would take my truck for a joyride. She would even know to top off the gas so I wouldn't suspect anything.

When my two barn cats catch a mouse they never eat it but consider it as something to be proud of like a trophy.

With a brain, size isn't the only determiner of intelligence. Parrots and ravens are prime examples. I've been around dogs and cats all of my life and though dogs are easily trainable and very eager to please, cats have always displayed a subtle intelligence that sometimes amazes me. And then they go straight to Stupid Boulevard and rent an apartment. But still, they have amazing flashes of brilliance.

Lovely channel BTW, I hope you continue to make content.

hello there ... I got my blue point birman a couple of months ago and she does not have gloves on the front paws.
I found her smart, when I call her she comes! She identified her toilet and the place where to eat since the very first day. She is perfect! Never ruined or scratched anything. She communicates her needs very clearly. She is so loving and affectionate.
She loves getting brushed. She sleeps in the bathroom (it’s a big place) and never makes any noise at night. She has been used to it since day one as the breeder told us to do.
We are considering to get a second one (this time well gloved) so not to let our princess alone.

Both my cats can understand hand commands. However my cat that i adopted at 5yrs old... my oldest he is 13 years now.... he does not fight dogs. He is very nice to strays cats. He has always been a nice cat. Listens to commands. Dont forget about the cats in need for adoption! There are tons that need some love

My parents's cat was very motivated by food. Her ability to obey doubled if she got a snack out of it.
