Thank you for highlighting this. I had ignored the base game because it didn't have a solo mode and I already had both Race and Roll for the Galaxy along with Puerto Rico. I went ahead and picked up a used copy of the base game off BGG along with this expansion from Game Nerdz. This looks like it will be a quick and relaxing solo game.

By the way, there is a really excellent fan made solo mode on BGG for Roll for the Galaxy (done by pastorbln, 2nd file down) that had been my go to quick/mellow solo game for a while.
