Apparently the story for this is as follows; Christopher Robin abandoned his childhood friends in the 100 Acre Wood leaving them without compassion and food. Starving, Winnie The Pooh and Piglet become feral and driven insane and eat the other animals in 100 Acre Wood before setting out to get revenge on Christopher Robin in their feral murderous states.

Tigger hasn't actually entered the public domain yet as he was introduced in a sequel book rather than the original Winne The Pooh book that entered public domain this year.

I'm not into horror, but I see potential for this movie to be darkly humorous. But whether that happens remains to be seen.

It’s not killers in masks. It’s Christopher Robin’s abandoned imaginary friends. They already reported that. Eyor was eating by Winnie and Tigger is still owned by Disney.

Tigger is not in the public domain just yet, I read he will be in 2024 which could be in a sequel if this movie does well

The upside to this is maybe in 16 years, someone other than WB can finally DO something with Superman. Better still if they can only use the not as powerful, takes on slum lords and wife beaters version from 1938.

Gotta be honest, not a fan of this idea. Maybe it’s just cause I grew up on Winnie the Pooh, but some things should remain innocent.
