"No one ever shamed themselves into better mental health." Yup, that's the quote I wrote down from the book, too. 🙂 I wish I could gift that book to the 2023 me.

This wave pet tape/sticker are gorgeous😮 I love how the little black frame you use creates a little continuity in your spreads and ties all the different styles together

This was a fun video to just chill and watch. Also appreciated your opinions on some of those movies even if I never see them myself. The "sparkly dress" (or lack thereof) comment was so relatable :P
When I recollect stuff like this, I usually do blog posts (I have one for TV/movies, one for my fictional endeavors, and another for books and music discussion). But your layouts make me want to try that approach myself, just to have something more visually interesting to flip through. I do the blog posts to get my thoughts out and for other people to read (however small that audience is, lol) but I don't often reread them once I finish writing them.

If you want more Greek gods and heroes, I recommend, Percy Jackson’s Greek God and Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes. He recounts many of the famous stories and heroes.

Loved this! I love how you’re branching out with your collaging. This was a super great media month for you!

Based on what you said about sims 4, I think you might like Tiny Glade! The best way to describe it is the sims but only the build portion lol

I am loving these recap videos! 💚

Also, I was literally just involved in a Sprint at my day job! How funny! I may have to check that book out. 😂

Seeing you use your media journal.. I think I’m going to make one next year after I go through my current book journal. Love this! I’ve been allowing myself to watch more tv instead of just reading. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I love playing the Sims 4, I enjoy the gameplay the most, and building is definitely a complex thing in the game. What helped me was watching people play the game on Youtube, but I unless it is for my active household, I just download lots from the gallery. I hope you give it another chance, because build in the Sims 4 is really fun, especially for the sims you play with.

While you were talking about only enjoying the building part of Sims 4, it reminded me of Bloxburg, where all you do is build your house. Though it’s on a platform called Roblox if you’re familiar with it or not.
Not sure how Sims works, but in Bloxburg, you do have to work to get money to build your house. But it is super fun. 🤩

I love Sims 4 as an all-around game, because I really enjoy architecture and interior design, and I have over 5 GB's of modification files across that element, as well as character creation mods! I use the mods to create the characters I'm writing about, as visual tools. 😍 For game-play I prefer to work with the "motherlode" style of playing, so I can give my sims a better life than I have. 😆

I forgot to comment on Sims4! I love the sims franchise and that’s really the only game I play. I was real deep into the community during sims 2 days. I even taught myself how to make furniture and art. I was a moderator of a really popular sims 2 message boards (remember those??) and she used to host my custom content. I learned 3D modeling and everything. It was a time. I still love to play but I have a hard time balancing reading and journaling and the sims, so I haven’t played in mons.

13:32 This is very funny to listen too while I am actively playing the sims 4 😂😂

It’s funny that you say you used to enjoy the building with the sims but tried not to focus on it in the sims 4, as generally I think people find the building so much better in sims 4 than the gameplay, its much more intuitive and creative than prior games. But yeah the gameplay doesn’t keep me as engaged as prior entries did. I love your reading journal it’s always so pretty and detailed

My OCD says to leave the shelves blank. The varying size of print you'd have to do to make the titles fit (some still wouldn't even with tiny writing) would visually be so distracting!

Love to see your creativity! You just touched on how you do the titles (finding fonts, etc.) Would like to see how you do some of that. Such as in Make Time - you have it without the blue splash background. How do you do that? And then, the Caravel font sounded really involved. Would you consider an instructional video on those things?

Omgggg I too had Caraval on my 25 in 25 AND I read it in March 😆 funny enough though, Caraval was a re-read for me since when I first read it, it just released.
I was in 7th grade when I read it and by the end of it, I concluded that I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Probably because I was SO confused and didn’t understand much at the time 😆
But now I would say it was a solid book. I see how I was probably confused in 7th grade

Love this!
With you saying you like the house building in the Sims..have you played Valhiem by chance? I'd love to hear what you think about it. :)

hahahaha I hate building houses in Sims 🤣 I'm fine with the decorating and whatnot, even doing some additions/changes to the structure, but I hate trying to build the house from scratch! (But love that there's so much versatility in the game to meet so many people's likes in the game!)
I really enjoyed the first Life is Strange, but never played any of the other releases.
