Muse | Mod Oscillator

In this video, we explore the Modulation Oscillator of Moog Muse.

Follow along as we provide practical applications of the oscillator as a per-voice modulation source, as well as a third audio-rate oscillator. Modulate the pitch of Oscillators 1 and 2 independently, the cutoff of Filters 1 and 2 independently, the pulse width of Oscillators 1 and 2 when assigned to pulse on the wave mix, or the pan position of a voice, independent of any other modulation sources on Muse!

Glad the fact that the Modulation oscillator doesn’t stay in phase across voices was highlighted. It also cannot be synced to the clock. I got my Muse about a week ago and discovered all this last night. Wasn’t thrilled about it at first but it’s okay now that I know it’s not just my unit. Seems to stay in tune just fine at audio rates in the mixer.

The other LFO’s are completely predictable and it’s fun to have this chaos modulator right at my fingertips. Overall very happy with Muse.
