Im slowly converting to Edelbrock, definitely true that they run right out of the box, and they are easy to perfect with Carb Cheater's data.

I was following a series of posts from over 10 years ago by a guy all about his V8 swapped Ranger for SCCA racing and he mentioned he was helped a great deal by an intern at his work, a young engineer named Luke.

Such good information! You explain it better than anyone else I've ever known, and I've been around of lot of old timer car guys in my 55 years. Keep up the great work educating us car guys and gals.

This man has taught me more on carbs than any other person I've known. And he taught me how to rebuild a carb and it worked! And I'm only 14!

'93 Chevy truck TBI . perfect. Due to rebuild of Entire truck. I replace all original Chevy electronics parts. It took 5 TPS sensors n 3 air/fuel ratio sensors to get truck back to what the original Chevy parts operated at.
Even ' Standard ' brand parts are trash. Wow. You can learn stuff with this channel. Well Tuned Mind Sir.

I did the same with getting an AVS2 650 cfm for my 460. I found it ran great out of the box as well, but had to drop 3 sizes in jets and a size in metering rods. Also the secondary's were way to rich on full throttle and had to drop 2 sizes in the back. Carb cheater is on and runs great!

I love these projects, even if they are someone else's vehicle. The owner must have done a happy dance after driving it

pretty cool you fixed what the shops couldn't. maybe consider building an attachment for one of your tractors for shoving stuff into your garage.

Good work! This brings back memories from the late 70s. My girlfriend had a '67 Barracuda with a "Formula S" 273 that used a Carter AFB - I believe that is what this Edelbrock carb is based on. I bought a Carter Strip Kit, (same as your tuning kit) to tune it after I rebuilt the engine, and added a "better" cam. Tuning it drove me a bit nuts, but I finally got it running reasonably well. Your Carb Cheater and an iphone would have really helped, but it was the dark ages!

Lots of good information, thank you. A little trick I use when taking off the top of my Edelbrock. I get a telescoping pocket magnet and hold it next to the little clips as pull them off with a pick. The magnet will always catch them.
