the 30 series was such good value and could have been perfect had nvidia not sold all their stock to miners. no 40 series is truly such an unexciting and forgettable generation. this gen is definitely worth skipping tbh

1000 gpu were great, solid performance, fair pricing and was nice to have
2000 cards kinda meh, bit pricey and then were not efficient as the 1000 cards
3000 were game charging if we don't mention the mining craze
4000 is now the product of greed

I'm glad AMD is making progress in different markets. They really need more funds to compete in the GPU market, progress in the CGI business and other technologies is very much needed if they want to fully develop their new architecture approach.

we went from a 3060ti being > 2080 Super and being much cheaper to a 4060ti being roughly on par/ slightly better than it's predecessor the 3060ti while costing more.

If only this gen had the same generational improvements we'd be seeing 4060ti's beating 3080's in performance

If it's really a 8GB 128 bit card, it should be called a 4050 ti and maybe priced at 349$. Nvidia too afraid to hurt sales of 3000 series cards still.

I think they maybe see the writing on the wall that the future of 1080p gaming is integrated graphics, and thus AMD and Nvidia are deliberately moving away from lower-end discrete GPUs.

I suspect the guy might have power washed them, with cold water, and then used heat to dry them faster right after, severely weakening them (possibly microcracking the die).
