That's easy, assuming I've understood the question correctly; if you replaced the atmosphere with an equal mass of water, you would maintain the same pressure at the "old" sea level, which is equivalent to about 10m depth of water.

I think i saw something on QI and somebody made an illustration showing a sphere of all the water and a sphere of the atmosphere sitting on the earth and they were both smaller than i thought. I think there was more water than atmosphere tho..

I think it slightly more than a meter over the whole planet and there for about 3only on the land mass

You guys kind of screwed the pooch on this one. Showing the atmosphere at the correct ratio is really the "oh gosh!" visual. It's so thin it's amazing.

I don't see the point of all these outtake videos posted idividually it's quite annoying sifting through them all the time, why not do a blooper reel compilation once in a while instead? Other wise, great interesting videos.
