We fish a few days a week in FL. I can't tell you how many balloons we have pulled out of the water. I absolutely agree with this law.

Flipping off cops is protected by the Constitution, so you can't be arrested for it, meaning that was a false arrest in Vermont, so they had to pay for violating that person's rights.

I don’t like it when people release balloons either. They don’t realizes the damage it can do to wild life. What goes up, must come down and unless you want to follow them and pick up the trash, don’t do it!

Balloons and fireworks are extremely polluting. Good for Florida for making a difference.

Mass balloon releasing is banned in California, Connecticut, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia. Not only as others mentioned it’s littering or find its way into the ocean, but if they hit powerlines or interfere with air traffic they can be quite dangerous.
