Artificial Muscles Robotic Arm, Real Copy of Human Arm

Показать описание
I made this robotic arm in garage and it is a copy of real one I experienced in dissecting room. I want to use it as prosthesis arm and as a part of humanoid robot.

It is based on redesigned human skeleton bones - I used hinges instead of ligaments. By using artificial muscles I achieved soft tissued - natural looking structure of the forearm. I will be covered with skin.
It is powered by water pressure pump 0,7MPa and electro-valves.

If you want to see androids walking around during your lifetime, support this project:

The engineering is so good that it borders on the uncanny valley.
That is seriously impressive.

A few decades from now this video will be in history books.

Finally, someone that knows how to make a good thumb and arm-twist mechanism. The biomimetic is the best approach. This looks like a lot of hard work.

This is how we should be making humanoids.

This might be the best Robotic Arm ive seen ever.

Why do we humans have such a positive complexion with flipping the bird, like seriously, we love it to the point we make fake human hands do it, it’s beautiful.

I've been looking for this technology for ages, never knew what exactly to search for but THIS is exactly what I was after all along. I hope the project is well.

I think our world is getting closer and closer to the animation "Ghost in the shell"

The amount of thought and engineering work is staggering. I love the iterative design. It looks creepily like a severed arm but slightly less fleshy which is super amazing. I hope your hominoid goes well.

This was something I've been curious about for a while now. When it comes to robotics, how come they don't implement an artificial type of muscle? I bring this up because engineers keep claiming there isn't a way to get robots to move like humans, yet don't add a muscle like system into said robots. If the robots had a synthetic style of muscles similar to humans, it could most likely allow the robots to move a lot more like humans with a lot more dexterity. This would also allow for artificial limbs to have more motion control and be able to move quicker.

I worked with a bunch of people who did this exact same kind of design at my college so just for your consideration the real things we discovered held it back are making it
(a) quiet enough
(b) compact enough
And
(C) cheap enough
To be practical, I hope you have as much fun learning from this project as we did

Damn dude this looks amazing. I've been working on something like this and finding the best muscle mechanism has been challenging.

Damn this changes everything we know about robotics technology and prosthetics

That is both amazing and also terrifying. Makes me wonder how much longer before these are the norm in prosthetic arms. Adding nerve censors to make them read your own muscles and nerves to move, plus adding touch feedback sensors to give a sense of actually being able to feel things through the fake hand, and you’d have a perfect prosthetic

You are officially the coolest person on the internet to me. The fact that this will save people, from living a nightmare due to permanent injuries makes you #1

If this is applied on prosthetics, it would be revolutionary.
