I almost passed out toward the end with anxiety at the control panel in a tornado of chaos and confusion. Joy told her to let go but she couldn't. She was quiet and then a single tear shed from her eye. NGL that part was a real intense.

When asked the question “Was this sequel necessary?”, I don’t look to if it was way better than the original, but if it is at least a worthy successor that allows us to spend more time with the characters we love without butchering anything from the original.

And this movie is very much a worthy sequel, even if the original already worked well on its own.

Inside Out might not be Pixar's BEST film, but it's definitely their most IMPORTANT film. Never has a movie elevated children's emotional intelligence so much. Kids that watch it can talk about their emotions in ways way more advanced than if they hadn't.

It didn’t hit the same emotional highs as the first one, didn’t burst into tears as with bing bong BUT it was an excellent movie. I enjoyed it and connected to it emotionally and more thst that it did a really did a great job almost like educating the audience on anxiety how it can be harmful and coping skills.

This movie felt like a callout to me between ages 14 and 17. I cried, I cringed and I truly felt with Riley. I'm 23 years old, Inside out just hurts so perfectly right, both the first and the second part, and it's a comfort movie to me to remind myself that it's okay to just... Not be okay, sometimes. To struggle.

I thought Inside out 2 was fantastic. Despite being an adult there was sm messaging I could get behind and relate to. But if this came out when I was 13 it honestly would’ve meant a lot.

It’s charming, funny, emotional and beautifully animated. With a gorgeous score to bring it all together. Also this DEFINITELY BETTER THAN INCREDIBLES 2

Ill get so much hate for this, but I prefered this one over the first. As someone who struggles with being social and had chronic anxiety, this one resonated with me so much more. I personally loved it. Best animated film since Spiderverse imo.

The thing the film was the most subtle about in my opinion is why the feeling of anxiety is important. By the end, it still feels like they just got Anxiety out of the way to make sure she doesn't mess with anything. Even at the start when Anxiety is doing a good job, there's no "This is the feeling of anxiety and why it's good" explanation, but rather it's left for you to interpret that the anxiety you see storming the movie and the subtle nervousness that leads to a good job at the start are the same emotion. I honestly wouldn't have minded if they gave the feeling of anxiety the same treatment they gave the feeling of sadness in the first movie.

I definelty went into it thinking it wasn’t going to be that good since it’s a sequel, but honestly I was pleasantly surprised

Anxiety was handled perfectly in this film.

I had a big feeling she would be the main antagonist since the first teaser.

The movie has her be like actual anxiety with taking over all the other emotions and causing Riley to have an intense panic attack and it only started to stop when she let go.

Anxiety can get a massive hold on people and the feeling when it lets go is very calming.

But the film also shows the good things of anxiety with preparing Riley for the future but not causing extreme panic for anything that could go wrong.

honestly Idk what you're talking about, it actually feels like it belongs unlike every other pixar sequel and expands on itself and is very smart and I'm glad it exists

I disagree, this sequel IS better than the first. The maturity and relatability of it is what stood out to me. The humour was better too.
