Richard is so good. No goofy music, and he's not trying to be a comedian. Solid content.

In today's episode, Richard shows us how to get a turbo junkyard LS using our $600 stimulus

you have helped so many people build horse power that I will go on record as saying "you are more important to hot Roding than Barney Navarro". ok, a combination of you and the $200 turbo.

I have a buddy who's cousin is an engineer for GM. I guess he helped design the "VORTEC" engines, and was specialised in flow rates, etc. I can remember my buddy and I arguing, about how his cousin told him that the stock manifolds and heads on LS engines were USUALLY better flowing than ANYTHING aftermarket . After watching and learning from a bunch of these videos, maybe that guy was right. Seems like they engineered these heads and manifolds so super duper well, and it's just obvious, but who knows . Lol, , peace

Why does this video come out the day after I decide to build my own kit instead of buying one. This is perfect.

I love how Richard is so practical. Knowing that the turbo and not the manifold is the limiting flow factor is crucial to know. Thanks.

Preach it man, you can build whatever you want on the stand, but getting it to run in the car is way harder. Glad you are budget minded.

How about a video on boost vs octane.
It’s great to have 20 psi of boost but what if I can only get 93 or 91.
What if I don’t want to buy my fuel out of a drum.

This probably works great for you on the dyno and there are a lot of people that use factory manifolds short-term. I have 8 years/60k miles on my sloppy combo turbo LS. For me the factory exhaust manifold flanges and gaskets would not hold up well to turbocharger back pressure. The first six years I constantly fought gasket replacement. I decked the flanges...did everything. I switched to V-Bands on both sides using the off-the-shelf hooker manifold kit and have no issues. I guess if someone is on an extreme budget I would also tell them to use the factory manifolds but if they plan to put long-term years and driving on the combination I would only recommend V bands.

I also had constant problems with china WGs. No problems with china turbo though.

Thank you Richard. I just found this video. Got to meet you briefly at LS Fest this past weekend. Wish I could have stayed and chatted about the V12. Kid wanted to keep looking at the cars.
