Fun fact.. Final Cut Pro wouldn’t let me export this video for some reason. So I actually had to use screen record and capture the audio externally then re-upload it into Final Cut Pro. How many of you noticed!? 😂

Whewwww that people pleasing syndrome is the devil. In the end, you will run yourself ragged for trying to please folks who don't even matter in the end. People are doing the most lol. That's the easiest way to explain it. "Life is very simple!" You're always coming through with a word! 💪🏾💪🏾 I used to get sucked into the social media stuff, but now I live a very simple and lowkey life. So peaceful.

This so important. I saw a poll on Facebook asking “would you go on vacation if you couldn’t post it on social media” over 90% of ppl said “no they wouldn’t” because they flat out felt to needed to post on social to make their coworkers, family etc jealous. Which is beyond ridiculous to me

So true. So many people perceive their worth from what the world defines. I thank God that I’ve been grounded. Great content

My motto has always been “Keep up with the Jones’s 🤔, nah… I am the Jones’s “ 😃 and I just continue to live below my means & do what makes me happy! Not what society says I should do.

Thats a fact bro, I decided to take time from Social Media and just dive deeper into myself, I asked myself this question.. if I stayed off Social Media forever would I still want that fast car, that big house, and all that other shit? that one question changed my entire perspective on everything in that regard, dope video bro much love!

I agree with everything you’ve said. Recently a coworker kept throwing it in my face that she had her masters. I could’ve been had my master but to go back to school and to not have a huge financial benefit didn’t sit right with me. I came to the conclusion that this individual who was bragging about her masters was trying to make herself better then me. What I also realized is that we were both assistants, on the same level in our roles. When I realized that I was like ain’t that something. Just food for thought.

"You can dumb down your life." Simplest but yet deep advise. I'm in a state of practicing minimalism in my life while learning how to continue to express myself in ways that fulfill my life's purpose. Great video.

Agreed! And then it's the phrase, "If it ain't posted then it didn't happen or don't matter" like whet? You don't have to post or tell eveything. Keeping up with and trying to impress others (ESPECIALLY on social media 🙄) will have you depressed, broke and/or lookin stupid. Now the hateration has begun smh Oh, and don't let somebody put you on blast 🤦🏾‍♀️ whew chile! Do for YOU to make YOU happy 😊

This video came on time for me. It’s something I’m struggling with especially being in my mid 20’s. Especially, the Masters part! It’s like a competition you didn’t sign up for😫. Thank you Corey!

Sometimes I just have to remind myself to take a deep breath and say the words "I am enough" it's so easy to get distracted and caught up in meaningless things.. it seems like everyone is trying so hard to be something there not and things would be so much more simple if everyone could just be themselves. each new day is a blessing and the present moment is what's real because the past already happened and the future isn't guaranteed.

Ain't this the damn truth. I've been shaking my head for yearrrssss on this topic! It's so sad how this time is.. the biggest narcissist I've ever seen in this age... & no different from high school we got grown ass ppl out here pretending to be something or someone they're not to feel validated...ppl will go hard to get fly but struggle to get their asses by!!! But yes thanks for sharing big facts👏👏

Hahaha, This is so apt. Thanks for sharing such valuable content. I do say, if we can think purposefully and live purposefully, a lot of the sicknesses will disappear. Envy, pressure, can really make us fall short of great health.

You've stepped on a lot of toes Mr. Jones. The internet is a curse and blessing. You definitely can't take it at face value. I've always said most of these $300 purses, don't have $300 inside. We have definitely got to work on our priorities.

I'm a private person, and don't like folks in my business in general. I've always been that way. Most folks aren't living in reality, but on social media only. It's sad, but unfortunately that's the world we live in. If I knew then ( when I was your age) what I know now smh...the amount of time saved in general. Keep on your assignment Corey, you're doing a great job👍.

Back in the 80s there was a cool tv show called LA Law. I know a lot of people who went to law school because it looked good. Most of them did not enjoy working in the legal field and moved on.

You are so right. Whenever I think I want to do something extra or anything that is going to cost me money, I sit and ask myself why? Am I doing this for me, what will doing this really do for me in the long run, and do I really want to do it, or did I see some one else doing it or something similar and think maybe I can get the same happiness that they seem to achieved. It took me some time to learn this but, I’m glad I matured enough to realize that I needed to question my reasoning. It also saves you money and valuable time.
