What to watch and listen in FEBRUARY 2023? #opera

Hello, and welcome to my channel. Here is a typical monthly video with my personal recommendations on what to watch and listen to in the following month. I have picked up some performances which I defined as attractive and exciting because of the productions, singers or musical pieces. Enjoy! Are you planning to visit some of them in February?

A) Royal Opera House (ROH) presents two very different pieces. Tannhäuser from Richard Wagner with a fantastic cast like Lise Davidsen and Ekaterina Gubanova (we know them both singing together from Bayereuth, don't we?;)). The other piece is the new production of Rusalka by Dvorak, with Asmik Grigorian in the title role.
B) In the next step, we have three theatres in Italy (Rome, Neapel and Milano) with Aida (G. Verdi) with amazing Amneris Ekaterina Semenchuck and Krassimira Stoyanova in the title role, La Damnation de Faus (H. Berlioz) with replaced cast except Ildar Abdrazakov as the devil himself, and I Vespri Siciliani (G. Verdi), an opera which I haven't heard or seen yet.
C) Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera House) is presenting a new Salome (R. Stauss) with a fantastic cast. Also, Tristan and Isolde (R. Wagner) with extraordinary Nina Stemme, Christa Mayer and Andres Schager (perfect cast for Wagner!). Also, WSO is presenting Fidelio, the one and only opera by Ludwig van Beethoven.
D) In Paris, you can see Peter Grimes and Il Trovatore
E) First time including in my videos the Zürich Opera Hosue with my favourite Donizetti opera - Roberto Devereux. They also present a revival of Eugene Onegin (Tschaikowsky).
G) BSO (Bayerische Staatsoper) is presenting Manon Lescaut (Puccini) with Elena Stichina in the title role and Guiditta (Lehar).
H) Finally, in Berlin, you can see two productions with amazing casts, both french and both for a mezzo-soprano in the title role: Samson et Dalila with Elina Garanca and Carmen

The pictures and the beginning and end should remind us that there will finally be the famous Wiener Opernball in 2023! See you there?
