Fascinating study on pregnancy and medication considerations. Is there enough literature for you to do a whole video on adhd and pregnancy? It would be awesome to have you go through the available studies in a video.

There seems to be a correlation of the numbers studies selected by Dr Barklery that are specifically for women and the occurrence of the International Women's Day. Is it a causation? We. Don't. Know. :)

Dr Barkley, thank you for everything you do to help people like me. In a video from about 7 months ago regarding time blindness, you mention breaking longer-term projects into smaller chunks. What wasn't clear to me was your intended audience: was it for me, the ADHD struggler, or was it my supervisor at work? If it’s me, I already know breaking down a long-term project into smaller chunks isn't going to happen, as good of an idea as it is. Am I supposed to ask my manager to do this for me? (In an unfair irony, I have no problem breaking tasks down into chunks for my employees, I just can't seem to do it for myself.) I hope you're well. Tait

The first study is truly devastating. I am glad that at least the people with schizophrenia don't get sexually abused as often. But I have my own experiences with this, granted I have ASD as well. I'd be very interested in knowing what's the academic comprehension of why this phenomena accurs. I have my own theories but I am in no way academic. While I believe there are some evil people that seek such people to abuse them, I also think that a lot of the abusers (majority perhaps) simply are the way they are and their behavior usually only gets accepted by us for whatever reason. For me it was alexithymia and poor theory of mind that led me to two of such relationships.

Re: The first study:
Interesting for sure - I would also wonder what these numbers are for a large group that has _committed_ partner violence.

I think the research into who the perpetrators are and what variants in nature+nurture they show, very important as well.

Love these updates - they are always both interesting and educational.

I didn't know I had adhd when I was pregnant. I had terrible pregnancy, fell quite a few times which landed me in the hospital, was always sick and my son ended up in neo natal . Wasn't fun at all.
