Evocation, Invocation and Working with Spirits

My Wife and I recently evoked & worked with Dantalion for the first time. I was the scribe, she was the scryer. He did not appear physically for miscellaneous reasons on our part, but midway, spoke to us through my Wife's tarot cards in regards to what we were asking for, and what our end of the bargain entailed. It was an overall great experience, and I would recommend working with him to any magician out there in the Multiverse. 👍

One question I have is, if you are able to manifest your intent with your own power, what is the purpose in appealing to any deity.. say if your practice doesn't involve worship of deity or honouring of ancestors for eg? I'm very interested in this form of practice so am curious. Much love x

Jack Copal-If your practice doesn't involve deity or ancestor worship then it doesn't-that's a cultural or theological choice. Certainly not everyone beleives in the same deities, or any deity at all, and (of course) our cultural backgrounds ar different. I worship and honor deity not to gain something but out of respect. It's a choice I make and it's part of my culture. While they do often aid my in the spiritual work I do for others, that is not WHY I repsect or honor them. I believe much of our success or failure in life comes from our own decisions. For me, I do not believe that deity is inherently in control of my life. I believe I have choice and free will. With this basis, it is not absolutely necessary to appeal to deity in spiritual work but rather a choice I make out of respect for my ancestors and cultural background. I hope this helps answer your question.

I have a question my friend was able to get to American Latin Music Awards last week on tv. I never felt envy before but i am happy for her and wish her the best i know she work hard to get were she is. Before she would use my name to get a fan base do to i was more popular in the industry. I feel cautious about working with Spirits, and am easing in gently..With regard to offerings, I feel that if I bake a cake, or offer a glass of wine, it's surely ok to eat or drink the rest of it. (Like having a dinner party with a guest). but that may be me being greedy, so what are your thoughts on that? I'm clear that the offerings go to the animals and earth, but would the spirits think you're being a bit stingy by eating the rest of that huge lasagna you made!!? Blessings xxx
