I hate how some people just don’t let children say their own side of the story

I worked as a helper at a day care, the teacher locked an NFL players daughter(3yo) in a bathroom for crying. I came in, not knowing what happened and assumed she was in there going pee. I went in to see why she was crying, brought her out and led her to her matt as it was in the middle of nap time.
When it came that she was actually locked in the bathroom, I was fired for not knowing/reporting it. The teacher who locked her in? No punishment. But they had to fire someone, the father was ready to bring hellfire down on them and licensed teachers are harder to replace than helpers who need no license or certifications. I am sure there was a different story told to the parents.

I used to work at a preschool and the management told us they understand that sometimes things in the classroom can get out of hand and there may be times when your emotions may get the best of you when you're dealing with young energetic kids everyday and that if we ever felt that we needed to step out of the classroom and just decompress for 5 min before we did something regrettable all we had to do was call in a staff member to step in our place while we recollected ourselves. We were always upfront if anything ever happened to the kids we wrote reports and pulled up the footage from the camera and showed the parents what happened.

I was in this awful daycare. The kids ran wild and i have no idea how i remember all this but we slept of hard af trampoline like things with not pillow and a shabby blanket. We were lined in rows with no light other than the door were someone was standing like a guard. And they kept cleaning supplies in reach of 3-5 year olds and this one kid spilled bleach all over my favorite shirt at the time. My parents withdrawaled me from there when that happened

Ok, something similar happened to a daycare/ after school care place that use to go to. So basically a teacher who I will call Mrs. J was like until 2:00 the pre k teacher along side Mrs. H and after 2:00 she was the after school teacher. Of course I was after school at the time, and in all my time being there she was one of the best. But enter Mrs. B she had a kid who cause trouble alot, hitting, running, and throwing. When I saw hitting I mean full on head locks and when I say running I mean running up and down the stairs when no one was looking, which could get the daycare seriously I trouble, and guess where the kid was running? To his mom. And of course Mrs. B didn't care and just gave him snacks let him roam around the daycare with no guidance. And eventually the kid started throwing wooden blocks at a kid who was simple playing dress up and when brought outside to talk about his behavior with Mrs. J, and guess what the kid did run down the hallway and then downstairs. When running back up ready to hit Mrs. J with scissors she stopped him by holding on to his wrist. Which left a mark, so the mom called the police and when after school got there the police was already there. So we went on with our day eating snack because we didn't know what they were there for, but then Mrs. J barged I and said she was quitting of course my response was "another one bites the dust" but then everyone asked why. Of course she wasn't allowed to disclose this so we carried on. When she had everything packed up I got called down and was faced with the police to answer questions about her, of course I answered them truthly and then went back up stairs. Mrs. J said goodbye and all of after school was crying even Mrs. H the pre k didn't understand so they were just watching other people cry. The afterschool went on crying until the director had to get us to stop. Me and Mrs. J still keep un touch . I think Mrs. J was in the right, I don't know why I tell this story since the only relevance is a teacher putting their hand on a kid but I felt that I must shared. I also know all of this cus Mrs. B told me. Mrs. B isn't all bad and after some time of kids hating her we stopped. But pls do tell me who was in the right? Since Mrs. J never ment to hurt the kid but if she didn't she would have must likely gotten stabbed.

I’ve been hit by a teacher before, pre-K, I can’t remember why she hit me but it was probably for a weird stupid reason (she has also made me call my mom because I wrote a K backwards), my mom told the principal and he didn’t do crap, the teacher excused it as a “love tap”, she didn’t tap me she full on hit me, she was a terrible teacher and every time I did something wrong she would yell at me

This is something that happens..it just shouldn’t be happening, I really hope your kid is okay, no kid should go through this, being hit or even yelled at by a teacher for no reason is terrible and can effect a child, especially if it’s happening frequently (it was frequently with me but she only hit me once, but that was enough to effect me especially with being yelled at all the time)

I love the daughter's sassy confidence now that her mother's shown her support. ❤❤

The fear in her eyes when she realised you were going that route 👁👄👁
The fear of knowing this could have consequences not just for the teacher but the receptionist who tried to cover it up

The poor child. Their teacher freaking attacked them and the school’s like “Let’s make sure she says nothing, doesn’t get any treatment and don’t punish the teacher because we haven’t investigated. 😊” and then saying that it WASN’T A BIG DEAL THAT THIS KID GOT HIT.

I wanna take a moment to say how wonderful it is to see the child in the story being so strong because of how strong her support is.
