Whenever you're changing any kind of liquid on any kind of vehicle, always make sure you can open the filling opening *first*, before you drain the liquid. Woe to the person that was able to open the drain plug but couldn't open the filling plug.

always remove or at least loosen the fill cap BEFORE removing the drain bolt. this removes any vacuum and more importantly ensures you'll be able to actually fill it after you've drained it dry

Seems easy enough. This just saved me from throwing away $30 for a mechanic to do it for me. The only hard part is determining which brand of gear oil is best quality, and whether I put too much or too little oil in my scooter. Plus, I don't even remember the last time I had mines changed.😅

the drain hole on my pony50 taotao is literally stuck and I've near torn off the head trying to use a socket, and wrench to get it off and idk what to do. Yet I can hear my gearbox tearing itself apart everytime I ride
