Is this Slowhand's BEST Riff? What do you think?

Clapton's early solo career was in some ways anti-guitar virtuoso. He had become bored/disillusioned with the cult following he had as a guitarist. So many of his songs from his early solo career avoided guitar solos.

"The Core", however, has an excellent and under-appreciated guitar riff. Enjoy!

Taught myself to play this the first time I heard it. It's an entire piece - verses, chorus, bridge, turn around, everything. Certainly one of his best - and yes, I vote for Mainline FL, and also Mean Old Frisco - please do that one... Thank you - Love your channel, Mark.

Love that song. Brings me back to 10th grade. I was playing that last night. Slightly incorrectly. Now I see my error and the rest of the chords.
