One of the greatest artists to never go mainstream.

I dig how he can play the same song 8 different ways and keeps reinventing them. A true artist.

Keith Richard once said "a good country song is often a good Rock'n'Roll song".
Well, when Sturgill Simpson plays country it sure sounds like Rock'n'Roll

Sturgillll, come back man. You're too good to not expose yourself to the light that's obviously been on you since day one. Heavy's the crown, but you wear it well.

Now THIS is country music. It’s like hearing Waylon in the 21st century. Sturgill Simpson is one talented man.

One of the only non stereotype voice in country music,
And he can play its guitar 🎉
Most of the songs are I IV V
And all the songs are pure gold 🤩

Discovered a couple of month ago, and I listen him everyday 😃

Sturgill's voice reminds me so much of Waylon's. When he belts out those lyrics you can feel it in ur soul.

Ive only recently discovered Sturgill and if im perfectly honest, the thought that i may never be able to see him perform any of the beautiful music that we are all blessed to have known leaves me broken .

Sturgill on a telecaster in a 3 piece, awesome.
On acoustic in a big band, awesome
Playing lead for Tyler Childers, awesome.
By himself on his HD28, awesome.

I love all Sturg’s shit. Disco alien rock or bluegrass and everything in between but FUUUUCK this band was so good.

God I miss Laur with Sturg... I stood about 10ft away from him at their show in London in 2015 and it was absolutely a life-changing experience. His guitar playing is absolutely mesmerising and he never moved the entire show... what a presence and sound!

The Voice, The Band, The Horns. Wow! Not to mention whoever did the sound on this. I don’t recall a better hour of musical performance than this. Ever.
