Ive adored a way one of my favorite characters developed over time. I wanted to make a alchemist that was the definition of getting high off your own supply, but evolved over time into a wickedly effective drunken master. I love how even your own plans may change due to story or need for balance within the party and overally world.

Never been REALLY interested in DND but through your videos I've attained an interest and intend to start my DND journey, love the content and although I know nothing about most of it it remains captivating.

I have a whole document of homebrew rules and changes that I'm proud of, a lot are inspired by Giffyglyph and their darker dungeons rules, but also just a lot of my own, like height range, high ground, low ground, fall damage and flanking changes, changes to dying, paralyzed, and stunned (inspired by XPtL3's video on it), so I'll be looking for your next review to submit a bunch of rules to be judged.

You can do that in video games too. It's called modding... just tends to take alot more effort

Personally I think the mqin difference/benefit is the freedom to attempt anything, even if it doesn't work.

Howbrewing is like well brewing a potion sure u can use a mix of 12tp of
fire root and 3 of air crystal to make combustion potion but if u want others not to get their face melted of because their not a dragon born then you should use at 6 tp of air crystal and 9 of fire root

Video games have mods. Though to be fair the technical barriers can be much higher depending on the game.

Question: how do you submit? I have an alternate Wyvern I would love to share.

I'm known among my friends as notoriously hateful of homebrew. It's not actual hate though, just frustration with all the things mentioned here. A well written, well balanced homebrew will always get into my game.

Technically, the base rules themselves are homebrew - the game started from it.

I was thinking of making a change to pheonix sorcery revive, instead of just being dropped to 1 hp and that's that. The sorcerer would turn to ash before reforming on their next turn at 1 hp

Could you review this homebrew? I just thought of it 10 minutes ago, but I think it’s got great potential

Monk Homebrew: Way of the Enemy

A monk trained in the Way of the Enemy is not only master of their own ki, but the enemy’s as well. The Way of the Enemy is about using the opponent’s energy against themself, and occasionally stealing it.

3rd
When an attack with a monk weapon or unarmed strike hits, you may spend one ki points deal damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die. You also regain hit points equal to one roll of your martial arts die unless the opponent succeeds a Wisdom saving throw.

I've got tons of homebrew that I'd like reviewed so if your plate of homebrew for Sundays has some room, I would appreciate it.
I've got over 50 homebrew races, 4 homebrew classes, a couple homebrew subclasses, some homebrew rules, and a lot of homebrew spells and magic items.

If any of that or anything specific sounds great to review, just reply and tell me what does and I will reply with content you can review.

How do you feel about homebrewing a campaign but only making the major plot points and letting the characters kind of fill in the rest on the fly?

Would you be willing to broaden your horizons and review story plots as well?

Would you be willing to review a class?

It's called modding in videogames and it's actually pretty easy. You just have to learn to write code

We do have homebrew for video games; it's called modding, and you can do anything from visual overhaul to basically making an entire new game running on the same systems. But homebrewing for the tabletop requires a lot less fiddling, because the problem with computers is that they do *exactly* what you tell them, nothing more or less, while people are capable of interpreting intent and asking for clarification.

Homebrew was the inspiration for modding, and you cannot convince me otherwise.
