Getting people Like Randy Newman and Phil Collins to write music for them was one of Pixar's best decisions by far

At 1:50 when that guy sings "And you got a friend in me" and Randy looks back and smiles. That made me crack the purest smile I've had.

From the first notes, his music is always instantly recognizable. The shuffle-swing, the wry humor..what a delight!!

This song is easily as difficult to play as Flight of the Bumblebee ... but for a different reason.

It's virtually impossible to get through a performance of "You've Got a Friend in Me" without sobbing, which can throw off your rhythm.

1:57 and onward, that little riff thing always hits me right in the feels. When that played during Toy Story 4 I cried my eyes out

You've Got A Friend In Me"
("Toy Story" soundtrack)

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you're miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you've got a friend in me
Yeah, you've got a friend in me

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got troubles, I've got 'em too
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
We stick together and we see it through
Cause you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

Some other folks might be
A little bit smarter than I am
Bigger and stronger too
Maybe
But none of them will ever love you
The way I do
It's me and you, boy

And as the years go by
Our friendship will never die
You're gonna see it's our destiny
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
