The PR "Knot" is the chosen knot to join braid to leader and braid to braid. You will use this is almost every fishing facet, from light tackle to deep sea and everything in between. This is an ideal knot to use when joining your backing braid to your top shot as the knot has a low profile making it pass through your rods guide with little resistance.

The KingFisher now make their own PR Bobbins to make tying the PR knot easy peasy. In this video, Ray Thompson demonstraits how to use the PR Bobbin and how to tie braid to leader and braid to braid.
