Matthew Perry's tragic death has raised a lot of questions, but new results from his toxicology report have cleared up some of the details regarding the cause of his passing.

I don't think that Matthew Perry was using drugs when he passed away but the use that in his past probably affected his health... especially his heart. Rest in peace Mr. Perry.

He didnt sound sober in the interview.. if you stay to long in a hot tub you can feel dizzy upon standing and pass out. Almost happened to me. They say your only supposed to stay in 20 mins. And the higher temp can make you pass out. I dont go in by myself any more. rip so sad he had to struggle so hard.

I don't need to know the details of what was in his system. I will remember him for his acting, his courage, and for reducing the stigma of addiction. Hopefully there will be a way to continue his legacy in the area of addiction rehabilitation.

I still can't believe it, this is so sad. He was such a good actor, he was my favorite on the show. I am sure many people will be affected by his passing, he will be truly missed.

I did not know this man, but I know he had personal demons like most of us. These problems can affect you later on in life. He revealed much in his book. I hope his story will help others, to make different choices.

Will keep his family and friends in my prayers.

I grew up watching Mathew Perry on Friends. The guy was so talented and funny! I can't believe that he's gone! 'Thank you' Mathew for all of the laughter you brought to the world -- even when you were at some of the lowest points in your life. Even with all of your personal demons, the world loved you still and I hope you knew how much! You've done so much to help those who are struggling with addiction and doing their best to stay sober, and you will always be remembered by all of those whose lives you touched, it meant so much to them and to their families!

Addiction doesn't affect just the person who's addicted -- everyone who loves that person are also caught up in the whole mess of it! Addiction and alcoholism affect each and every one of the people who love you. Addiction is a 'slow prolonged and painful death' and your choices take a devastating toll on all who love you.

Matthew Perry brought so much joy, laughs during his career in with "Friends". He admitted to having his struggles with addiction and his long road to trying to stay sober recently. I truly think he was trying his best to take control of his health. This came as a shock that he passed away and especially at just 54 y/o. Rest in Peace Matthew.

Let the man rest in peace, he went thru hell and tryed his hardest to move on from it and give back. Everyone has an opinion or a guess etc. but Did Anyone Walk A Mile in his shoes?? I could tell he was an extreme case during interviews. I was still surprised to learn about his death. He deserved to be alive. He was suffering and proof is in knowing how long term use affects one's speech.

I don’t think he was using he was. Working super hard on himself he was taking suboxal drug it helps relieve urges and that coupled with being in a hot tub could have lead to a heart attack 😢💜🙏

Initially it was leaked that he had a heart attack while in his tub and then drown. As is usually the case (with celebs) they now need to go back on it and decide what they want the public to know whether it is true or not who knows? They have said no drugs were found in his system at the time however he hit it so hard for so long (even causing a bowel rupture in 2018) that he obviously did die at a fairly young age from chronic substance abuse but sometimes the repercussions are deferred.
He did have a real knack for humor and acting though and so sad to see another one go for this reason...

He was only sober for 2.5 years? I thought 💭 he was sober since 2001.
