The chorus before the bridge was even more perfect than I was expecting. 😍 I also like the coming in with “Amen, ” quietly at the end of the bridge. Pulling back so there’s more room to jump off to the end. Awesome! And your tone is just butter with this song!

This song is so hard to cover because of the repetitive melody of the verses. Most of the covers I've listened to the singers don't know how to bring enough variation in so that it doesn't drag. You nailed it - by changing up the emphasis from line to line, different intonation, volume variation, it's all so deceptively simple. Truly brilliant work.
