This is a beautiful story. I remember another one I read some time ago (paraphrased):

"Today, I was going through the things of my deceased father. I was shifting among his old boxes to see If I could keep something, maybe an old Comic to sell later on eBay. Then, I stumbled on his old Game Boy he used to play. It had Pokemon Blue in it. "Why not", I though, and I turned it on and started playing from his last saved game. His team was terrible: a Zubat, a Raticate, A Beedrill... But his Blastoise... it was nicknamed after me.

I cried."

I had a friend I played Xbox live with for years. He passed away last year. I still have game films from black ops 2 where we were playing I'll watch and just imagine what he was saying. We never met in person, but we had a bond as strong as any friendship. He had ALS. It was hard hearing him lose his strength, his voice. Over time, just a few words were exhausting to get out. But I am glad for all those late nights playing hardcore on Black Ops 2. I'll never forget him.

Aw man, this video affected me so strongly. I wept so hard. I was 12 when my father passed away and even though it was 25 years ago I still miss him so much.
He was never really into video games but he brought me the original Nintendo and although he didn't know Mario from Zelda, he would still buy us the games we wanted. One day I was playing Mike Tyson's Punchout and for the first time I reached Mike Tyson and I was yelling for him to come watch. My dad really liked sports so he got interested, and with him watching me play I managed to beat the game.
He was genuinely happy for me and I remember his words so crystal clear that day "just think, when you woke up this morning you were just an ordinary kid, but tonight you'll go to sleep as the heavy weight champion of the world."
Even though it was a light hearted musing, it's a precious memory and it reminds me that no matter where you are or what you feel, during the course of any day you can do great things and change the world.

I also lost my dad when I was six as well. It will be ten years on September 4th. I could not believe the connection I had with this story. I don't usually cry over videos like this but this one hit me really hard. Thank you to the creator of this film and the commentor. I hope those of you without fathers are coping well. Much love for this visual.

Seriously, I hate the recent trend of game developers removing split-screen from their games (I'm looking at you 343 Industries). Video games are way more fun when playing with your friends and family together in the same room. Instead of improving split screen, they remove it. RIP #PlayerTwo

When i was about, 5, me and my dad got a 360. the day it came out. Oh forza. we played and played until i grew up, and my dad had other things to do. i picked it up again and played a bit of forza and similar to this. there was a ghost. still there from 2009. one day, my dad came over to my apartment, said nothing, grabbed a controller, turned it on and for the first time ever. i was player one.

My father just passed away 2 days ago and its been hard to accept that he's gone forever... This is really touching to me. Anybody that's lost someone... Be strong because I will continue to do so. I know that's what my father would have wanted. Keep your head up and always stay positive is my motto for life.

I unexpectedly lost my dad 6 weeks ago and I am only 19 years old, it surprisingly feels good to see other people like me because It somehow softens my pain and sorrow. Thank you for this beautiful movie.

It remind me when I was 11...
I was just diagnosed with leukemia and spent most of my time at the Hospital...and in the common area there was a TV and a PlayStation 3 so kids could play on with it between chemotherapy treatments.
the memories of all the people that I use to play with and are now gone just came in...
