A great classic game of all time! And a lot of versions. I have "Risk & Castle Risk", 2 games for 1, of 1990, with the 2 sides game board, the world and Europe. Different rules and playability, but very entertaining both games.

How do you add more infantry each turn when you’ve already placed all 40 of your pieces on the board ?

*Also* If you roll 3 dice to defeat an army, then you MUST move at least 3 battalions into that newly won territory. If you only rolled 2 dice, then you only need to move in 2 battalions. 1 dice rolled to defeat an army = only 1 battalion needs to be moved in.

Can some one guide on the active neutral game, specially the first step, when you are supposed to bribe the neutrals what is the status of the cards ? where are the cards ? are they already distributed ? do the players role the dice to pick up cards, if yes how many ? basically the instruction keeps saying place the cards or give the card to neutral but doesn't tell anything about the who picks the cards from where and how

Thanks for this video, I've been watching several to try to figure out this cluster of a game, and yours make the most sense. I haven't played this game in thirty years and suddenly my 10 year old has taken interest in it.

If you can attack with three but defend only with two, all represented by the dice being rolled and only the two highest attacker's rolls counting with the third being discounted altogether, what the heck is the point of even rolling three dice? I could see maybe if the second highest attack was a tie which would normally give the defender the win automatically, if the third die roll was also the same number as the tie it could be an ultimate tie-breaker to give the attacker the win, but I can't find anything anywhere that makes that third die anything but redundant. What's the point?

How are me and my friend supposed to receive 3 or so new infantry every round if the game rules told me to use all of my 1 infantry units?

*IF* an attacking army only has 2 battalions, you can only roll ONE die. Because if you roll two dice and the defending country rolls 2 dice and you lose on both dice, then you would have ZERO battalions left in the territory you attacked from and that can't happen. SO, in order to roll 3 dice, you need 3 battalions to attack with {since the defending country can roll a maximum of 2 dice, you can only lose 2 out of your 3 battalions}. Just clearing that up.

After the set-up phase (one unit per card dealt to each player/neutral), how did some neutral territories jump to 4+ units on their space?
The rules/explanation state each player can place one of the neutral's pieces on any one territory - how do some territories of the neutral armies have 4 or more? Thanks!
