Damn this needs to be everyone's motive in the game. But instead those people get kicked to orbit. Knowledge is power and not sharing it is selfish

I had an absolute random Guardian show me the ropes out of nowhere when I first started playing, showing me hidden stuff and things to collect, then eventually getting on voice chat and carrying me through a Nightfall. Coolest experience ever that I’ll never forget, and I try and maintain that spirit to this day, helping other new Guardians

I'm always trying to help new people in any way I can. I'm not the best player in the world but the best way to keep new players is to help them out when they need it.

destiny is at it's best when guardians work together, bettering each other results in bettering ourselves and the game as a whole

I always appreciate pointers from more experienced players.
My first Raid, one of the dudes there reccomended Riptide with Chill Clip, and Bump in the night, and that helped me do way more damage than i was doing.

my entire clan needs to watch videos like these, its exactly the reason I don't play anymore. too many inflated egos and admins who are supposed to do this but don't.

I enjoy teaching other but sometimes it’s just hollow. I was in a clan where I did teaching runs for raids and even day ones (D1). Every time I asked someone what they were using or what to do differently they felt super defensive and would be all ungrateful and leave or sum shit. The most annoying part is my last few experiences with Root where I’m literally hitting more damage on div

My friends that I play with do that all the time with me. I'm the person that will come help out if they need another body and they take the time to help me out. I don't LFG much but every time someone asks how im doing my damage if im doing good I show them right away. Its way more helpful. It just ruins the experience when someone gets mad at your damage and not willing to help fix it.

We really do need more of this. If people are willing to learn you can raise up someone that can eventually take the lead as the teacher later down the line, and you can also help build up an ally who can reliably be a part of your fireteam to future raids. Ego unfortunately gets in the way a lot though for many and they aren't willing to bestow that information onto newer players.

In my case, I raised a couple people that became clanmates. Later down the line THEY were teaching ME after I took over a year long break. Your kindness can pay off if you're willing to give just a few moments of your time to help someone.

Loving the positivity when it comes to teaching we need more of this, its how i teach my raids no matter how many attempts it takes id rather they leave learning how to do the raid then being told thats how

In these lfg's nobody likes teaching dps because they are too busy peacocking

Exactly my brother… teaching others is so rewarding in this game. Hearing people say thank you that first time taking newbies through EOW was so cool to hear. I love helping people.

That is the major quality of being a leader, is to bring those below you up to your level.

Haven't had that since Destiny 1, met some random guy who taught me Vault of Glass, and Crotas end. Had a blast and it's something that should be more in the community

90% of the challenge with LFG is cutting through the egos and shame in those lobbies.

This is why I love Destiny. First time I ever did VOG in d1 I had no clue what to do for anything and had the best group of guys take the time to teach instead of just booting me for someone with experience. Thats how I got into sherpas in d1 and still love doing it in d2 when I have time.

Nothing beats the feeling of being the 1 guy cranking dps and having your team ask you how your doing it

Only time i actually kicked someone from LFG was when 2 dudes refused to communicate and cooperate with the fireteam, causing us to wipe like 10 times.

They seemed like new players and were chill for the most part, but refusing the help we offered for time and time again... well, it pained me to do it, but it had to be done.

For any new players out there that want to start raiding, don't be afraid of making mistakes or causing a few wipes. Experienced players will be happy to get you up to speed so long as you're willing to help and be helped. Eyes up, fellow raiders. Our Light shines strongest when paired together ;)

Thanks man I suffered a lot because of an lfg team today. I wish people could be that way. I’m an Og and I stopped playing for a few months to pick it back up and nobody wants to tell me what’s good or why they’re top fragging. I really appreciate your videos man
