22/10/24 – Showers clearing, sunny spells – Afternoon Weather Forecast UK –Met Office Weather

Some scattered showers across the south of the UK and Scotland at this afternoon, with cloud across much of the country. This will push eastwards through the day, leaving some sunny spells amidst temperatures warm for the time of year. Into the evening, the cloud and showers should fade away, with a clear night expected for many. This will bring fog especially to southern areas, which is likely to be slow to clear tomorrow morning. More cloud is expected in the far north, where there will be some strong gusty winds throughout this evening and tonight. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the afternoon of 22/10/24. Another 'mainly dry' day with 'scattered showers' turns into a miserable cloudy afternoon with persistent heavy showery rain in the south east. Forecasters may as well just tell us when its going to be dry. On other days no forecast required we will assume it iis going to be wet. Its hard to believe we live in one of the driest parts of the UK
