JERUSALEM, Israel – For at least the second time in a month, a number of ultra-Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem have publicly confronted Christians and Messianic believers.

The most recent happened outside a Hebrew worship event in the city. This time, the hostility also led to physical attacks.

Some 800 people recently attended two concerts featuring Hebrew worship songs.

Chad Holland, senior pastor at King of Kings Community in Jerusalem, told CBN News, "It was a night of worship and singing through the scriptures, singing through the Psalms. Everyone was invited."

I experienced this first-hand as a Catholic in Israel this year. The Jews tolerate you but do not really like you. The government does not want to upset USA who they depend on. The orthodox movement against other faiths is alive and well in Israel. The holy sites for Christianity are all protected by Muslims, not Jews.

"If the world hates you,  keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.  Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name,  for they do not know the one who sent me. " John 15:18-21

Let us remember, it was Hebrews later known as Jews, who made and worshipped the golden calf in the wilderness while Moses sought guidance from the Lord. No matter where we are or what race or religion we are, the feeble-minded are always among us.

I’m here in Israel right now and yes this is how they treat Christians and people of color. So if everyone just stop coming to Israel and see if they are more appreciative. Why do people spend their hard earn money of $1000s of dollars to come here just to get treated like trash. According to their Torah they are not supposed to act like this. However, they do. Now I have met a few who are absolutely wonderful and I stress few. It’s the I’m better than you attitude. This does Not apply to All Jews/Israeli. If they are so secure in their religion someone please tell me why it seems they are scared of the Christians going to proselytize them into Christianity. So much for praying for peace. I’m not Christian or Muslim. It has definitely been a learning experience here.😢 Maybe going back to read their teachings of the Torah that they have seem to forgot.

The orthodox community should know that they live by the contribution of others and they should not disdain other communities...
