I have a 13" Macbook Pro from late 2013 that was refurbished. 8GB ram, 256GB SSD, Retina Display, etc. It's a great computer and it was simple to learn how to use the OS. Everyone had told me that Macs are great for recording music, and they probably are, but not in my experience. I had issues with almost everything I tried to do on it. My interface doesn't work, my Line 6 device had some software issues, the computer lacks features that any PC has that I use regularly, I couldn't use the same recording software, etc. I've had it for just over a month and I'm going to sell it and get a nice PC of a similar value. It's a great computer, just not for what I needed. My Apple loving friend put it in a way that made the most sense. He said "Macs are great if you have the right equipment". He probably didn't realise what he just said, but he basically said that Macs are good when you buy the things that they want you to buy. If you poured your money into anything else, you're out of luck.

Been anti-mac for about 15 years (basically all my computer years). After windows 8, it's time to switch to Mac OS. And what perfect timing with the sexy ass Late 2013 MacBook Pro.

I subscribed because we are the same person as far as all the tech stuff. I'm going with the Base Iris Pro 15" for now. I'll upgrade when refund checks come out and get the max model later. I don't even know why I even considered the 13" model anymore lol

Good video dude. I use a ton of computer just because I am into collecting them haha ha! I have 1 windows laptop and 5 MacBooks. The windows laptop is a hp elitebook 9470m which is a great computer, I like it because you can install 2 SSD's in it and it has a 14 inch matte screen which is fantastic. It also has upgrade able memory which is easy to access. My first Mac I ever used and still have is a late 2009 which macbook with a core2duo clocked at 2.26GHz the best part is thats it has no scratches or cracks whatsoever because I dont use it much and when I do I am very careful lol. About a year late I bought a early 2015 13 inch macbook air with maxed out specs, 8GB ram, core i7, 256GB SSD, its the first laptop I ever bought from Apple so I wont ever sell it later on because of that reason. I later on traded my crappy ipad mini 3 with 16GB space for my early 2008 macbook air which has 2GB ram, 80GB HDD and a 1.6 GHz core2duo processor its no speed demon by any means. I also have a mid 2009 13 inch macbook pro with 8GB ram, 300GB SSD, and a 2.56GHz core2duo processor. What I have come to realize with all these core2duo Macs is that they arnt bad at all when it comes to doing basic things like web browse, watch youtube and play some games, the point where they start to become slow is video editing for sure but for the mid 2009 MacBook pro almost being 8 years old it has held up amazingly well. The last and newest MacBook I have got is the late 2013 13 inch macbook pro, it has 4GB (haha 4GB ram I know) 128GB SSD and core i5 clocked at 2.4GHz. I traded my 2009 15 inch macbook pro for this computer along with 120$ because she spilled water on the late 2013 macbook but I paid someone on ebay to fix it and it should be back tomorrow. So yeah pretty excited about it.

I was always a mac-hater. And still I am, but! I need to buy a new laptop, cause my 4 yeared HP Probook is like a wounded oldman now. And MBP 13 will probably be my weapon of choice because of these two main reasons:
1 - top tear hardware on current laptop market.
2 - top tear OS.
There are some other reasons also (HQ resolution optimised software, backlit keyboard, full HDMI etc.) but these two are main. Noone else has something near similar.
I also think about "Dell XPS 13 Dev edition" on Ubuntu, but... still not sure.

Hey mate, I'm very keen to get hold of one of these RMBP, but I'll need to run windows the majority of the time due to our main work program. I was thinking Id do it via bootcamp, but recently I've heard theres been a lot of problems installing windows 8.1 on the Mac.
So my question to you is, do you run windows via bootcamp, and if you do, does the laptop still work well running windows or is there problems with the trackpad etc?
Thanks for your help!!
