I'm new to men's fragrances and bought The One last month. I love it, but now I finally understand what people mean when they say a fragrance has "shit performance". I started with five sprays of The One and that became very weak after a few hours. I kept reapplying it every three hours, and it kept getting weak after three hours. I thought I was nose deaf, but my girlfriend also said it was getting weak after a few hours unless she was up next to me. I needed at least eight sprays and constant reapplication to project several feet and also leave a scent trail in open areas. To get longevity you have to either keep reapplying constantly, spray on a gallon (which takes longer to dissipate but can be overpowering for a few hours), or use oil or something like vaseline to prolong the projection. I recommend using lots of oil or vaseline rather than 20 sprays. Also, spray it in your clothes and hair. Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme has the same longevity problem as The One. I'm using up my bottles of these fragrances much faster than expected. I don’t have this problem with Chanel Bleu EDT or the Valentino Uomo line of fragrances. They project ok for 8 hours with 3 to 5 sprays. I'm getting some Iso E Super. I've never used it before. Thanks Curly!!!
