3 Scary TRUE Military Stories

These are 3 stories submitted by subscribers after I asked those of you who are serving/had served in the military to send me your creepiest experiences. All three authors wished to remain anonymous.

Tunnel rats were some of the bravest men to ever live. If something spooked one of them bad enough to leave, you know it was legit. On another note, meeting a tunnel rat is seriously up there on my bucket list before they are all gone. Their bravery inspires me daily.

The fact that the first story took place in the Vietnam War is so spine chilling.

I don’t know what’s scarier- mr. nightmare or the ads that pop up in the middle of an intense story

My great grandfather once told me about an experience he had right after World War II. His brother was 20 and he was 15 when the US joined the war. His brother was killed in the bombing of Pearl Harbor and after the war my grandfather went to the same training camp his brother had gone to in Hawaii. He said that at night, he could hear the marching of troops. One night while everyone was asleep he left the bunks and saw fresh boot prints in the mud, boot prints of a whole group. He followed the boot prints and heard the marching just as he saw troops in the distance, he ran after them and at the back a man turned around and waved at my grandfather. It was his brother. He says it was a "final goodbye" from his brother. No idea how true it is, my great grandfather was off his rocker with ptsd and some sort of schizophrenia, but I'd like to think it's true.

The first story is bone chilling. Imagine that, of all the horrors of war to begin with that the story his dad told is even worse than that. I feel like that speaks volumes about what he witnessed and experienced in that tunnel.

I live next to a cemetery and I love it. Cemeteries are the best neighbors possible. They are always quiet and an early warning system for zombie outbreaks.
