One of the most powerful turning points in life comes when we begin to understand the shadow as a great teacher. In darkness, it waits for the light of our own awareness - to be seen, heard, understood, and embraced. And as we learn to accept and care for all parts of ourselves, we grow and evolve into our best selves.

Gradually coming to love the shadow gives us access to the wisdom that it holds for us at its core - the secret gems we find when we dare to open the hidden door of the shadow.

It is absolutely not easy to live with depression. Those people like Darleen who are aware of this situation but find alternative ways to go to the light and cope with it are to be admired. After putting a friend to her final rest just yesterday, I am deeply moved by this video. Although I felt darkness from not spending more time with her, you have given me an opportunity to see that she has moved on. She was a kind soul, one that was not easily understood by many people. Very very few people in her life did she ever say were bad. And when she was happy, she would light up a room. She has become that angel to me, that piece of light that allows me to see through the darkness. And this video has secured that feeling for me. Thank you so very much for it.
