In this Seagate 5TB External Hard Drive Review, I unbox this brand new portable Seagate drive and share my experience with the 4TB Seagate portable drive I've had for over 5 years. I also show you how to format this 5TB Seagate drive for both Mac and Windows computers.

As I've stated above, I've had my 4TB Seagate drive for over 5 years, and it's been great. It's still working, but it's almost full, so I got this new 5TB Seagate HDD drive. I believe it's going to be a great hard drive based on my experience with the previous 4TB model.

I think this Seagate external hard drive is a great value. It has 5TB of storage, and for the price, you wouldn't easily find a better deal.

If you're going to be using this drive on a Windows computer, the setup is probably pretty straight-forward. You just plug your Seagate drive into your PC and follow the prompts.

If you're wanting to use this Seagate drive for both Mac and PC computers, this video is going to be very helpful for you. I show you how to format this 5TB Seagate hard drive using a file system that is compatible with both Mac and PC.

If you're wondering whether or not this is the best external HDD, it depends on what you're going to be using it for. There are external hard drives that have faster read and write speeds, but if you're looking for bulk storage, this hard drive might be the best value. That being said, the Seagate 5TB portable drive has read and write speeds of 130 to 140 mbps, which is not bad.

Is there a way so that my anti virus wont touch the contents of my hard drive? I'm not happy to admit it, but I do plan to download pirated games from a so far trust worthy site and I don't want my AV to remove files automatically and risk corrupting my stuff

the SanDisk is better.. its smaller and faster.. it goes up to 4TB.. plus you dont need 5 steps to get it to work.. just plug it in and its good to go..
