In some versions of this myth. Eros brought psyche to a villa he created under a marriage to protect her from Aphrodite. Then when she got lonely she asked Eros if she could have her sisters come visit her and then made her believe that Eros was a monster that he needed to be killed. From then on it's the same. Although in the version I'm read there was gods that helped psyche complete her tasks because they were actually impossible so Aphrodite could kill her. Eventually Aphrodite said to go to the underworld and get something from Persephone, hopes that Persephone would just kill psyche but Persephone was like nah. I'm not doing that. And gave psyche whatever Aphrodite you wanted. And told psyche not to open it. When she was almost done with her task. She did end up opening it and fell into a deep death like sleep. Switch the burn mark on eros's shoulder from the candle oil started to hurt him a lot more so he went to rescue psyche and pulled the you. Owe me card on Zeus. So Zeus turned her into a goddess of human soul. This Greek myth is like my favorite. I love it so much. Despite Aphrodite being a total b*tch from Hell
