Eros and Psyche: When the God of Love Discovers Love - Miscellaneous Myths - Greek Mythology

The myth of Eros and Psyche tells the story of a young woman of extraordinary beauty, Psyche, who attracts the envy of the goddess Venus. Venus orders her son, Eros, to make Psyche fall in love with an ugly man, but Eros falls in love with her instead. Choosing to protect her, Eros visits Psyche by night, keeping his identity secret.
