Chanakya, guru of Chandragupta was really vitriolic towards Yavanas, its quite surprising he tolerated a Greek Princess in Maurya House. 😂 Probably because she was a princess otherwise its a big no no from him

Seleucus marrying his daughter to Chandragupta was his achievement not Chandragupta's. It was an honour for him that Chandragupta accepted her as his wife.

26:02 Correction, that's the treaty between Hellenistic Persia and Babylon and India. Macedonia didn't come under Seleucid rule though Anatolia did. Seleucus' wife was also Persian.

Chandragupta's wife Durdhara was daughter of his eldest maternal uncle or of his distant relative and their son was Bindusara. Durdhara is called really passionate towards Chandragupta. Bindusara's wife Subhadhrangi is also called of Maurya lineage and Mura, mother of Chandragupta is also called of Moriya lineage. It hints that these queens were commoners and not princesses. 😱

Alexander The Great named cities after his favourite horse. That's how little he thought of others 😂

It was the King of Gandhara (Ambhi) who invited Alexander to come & invade India. Out of his personal rivalry with Paurava Kingdom, he did this. He thought Alex would Conquer & hand over the region to him. 😅
Instead Alex was impressed with Porus Bravery & allowed him to rule.

After facing the toughest battles in his life against Porus, Mallis etc, Alexander wanted his Soldiers to fight the Nanda Empire but they begged him to not fight them.

25:35 This guy Seleucus gave his Second wife to his son because he was dying due to passion for her. Seleucus used to sacrifice young maidens on foundation of his cities 😢😡 26:10 Its surprising Chandragupta tolerated him as his father in law and his daughter as his wife. She must had been really beautiful. 😕
