I have PR4's on my FZ-1 and also on my FZ-09. After only running full sport rubber for the last 20 years, these shocked me. They are WAY better than they should be. If you're smooth on a bike, they stick almost as well as full sport tires in the dry. Awesome in cold or wet weather. They seem to last a long time as well. Love them.

The PR3s were the best tires I have ever used, they lasted 10-11K miles, barely any squaring and saved my butt in many super heavy rain storms. They also hardly ever slipped out on my Speed Triple, power or braking. Hope these PR4s perform even better.

Shredded my Pirelli Angel STs at just under 15000km. I watched this video and had these fitted for the monsoon season here in my part of the world.

Verdict? FANTASTIC WET WEATHER TYRES.

Torrential rain the second I left the tyre shop and right off the bat, my unscrubbed PR4s stuck to the tarmac. I was initially worried that new tyres fresh off the storage racks would get lively in the monsoon deluge, but these suckers surprised me. It kept on raining every day for the rest of the week and they never disappointed me.

Money well spent. Highly recommended.

I got some SuperCorsas on my R6, and later got a CBF for travels, with these tires. So i took it for a spin with no bags to the corners, and was amazed. No slips, no twitches, no nothing. They ware railroad tracks like the Pirellis. Simply amazing.

I've got a set for my monster 695, these tires are amazing, great grip in all weather condition, and it's quite surprising the amount of grip you can have in cold weather. Truly 10/10, well done michelin

I'm running PR3's at the front, and PR4's at the back. sweet, sweet set of rubber.

+EcOkiE2 That's just because they're un-mounted. When mounted on the bike, both tires have a similar profile. -DrewZilla

+ItsChow YourFavouritePal We recommend the PR4s because they last up to 20% longer than the PR3s. -Hi-Viz Brian

Went thru my first set of tires (Bridgestone Battlaxx's that came on the bike) with just under 11, 000 miles on them. Can’t wait until I get these on my ride. I had Pilot Road 3's on my VFR and I got 18, 000 out of them PLUS they gave a MUCH better ride than the Bridgestone's. Bought the bike (2010 Honda ST1300) BRAND NEW on 12/28/2013. Considering I really couldn't ride it until the end of February 2014 I'd say I do my fair share of riding. She's my commuter vehicle 5 or 6 days a week unless there is snow or ice on the roads.
I just ordered my PR4's and should have them on in a few weeks.

It must be a great tire.  For a supersport that does too much commuting and not enough sport riding, I always get sport tourers, and these have served me great for many miles.  Even with aggressive launches, I seem to have a lot of tread left on the rear, and it feels pretty good in turns.

I run pilot road 4's on my 2013 FJR1300A . Great tire ! Did a 5100+ mile trip of the U.S., last year. Departed the Atlanta area, for Columbus, Ohio, clocked it in, at about 11 hours. Rained all the way to Lexington, Ky. Not one complaint about the tires. Interstate 75, the whole way, and averaged 65-70 mph. I now have over 12, 000 miles on that batch of rubber and still have tread. Getting ready to replace them with another set. Leaving August 8th for a full U.S. perimeter (+) ride. Nova Scotia and Quebec, included. Should clock another 10, 000 miles. I load up, and the stopping performance and cornering are beyond comparing these tires to the original BTO's. The Bridgestones were lacking, to say the least. Traveling by motorcycle, is purely about the journey. Real joy, when you have a great ride like the FJR1300. Great tires, are the ones you can take for granted. P.R. 4's.

Thanks very much for your helpful comments and info. PR4's it is. I don't know how they can improve on the PR3's but I will see!

Wow. It's so nice that you guys talk to your customers and potential customers ! :)

I'm riding a Kawasaki ER-6N 2007:
- 70% city and 30% touring
- 60% of the time with a passenger (50% with passenger in the city and 100% in touring)
- my daily city rides are short - 20-50 miles
- I live in a temperate climate zone
- I ride from March 1st - December 1st
- I'm not aggressive when I do touring, so no high lean angles, however I do mild aggressive riding in the city (aggressive filtering mostly). I live in Romania so the roads are not that great therefore no heavy lean angles or anything.
- I'm buying a V-Strom next year so this bike will only be used for city rides (if not, sold)
- I'm also quite novice (only 6000 miles under my belt so far)

After reading your comments and watching many of your videos I personally think the PR4 are the best tires for my bike.

What do you guys think? Thank you in advance !

Replaced the PR3's with PR4's on my BMW K1300S much more stable when banking into corners, solid tyre.

I have only ever used 2 tyres, battlax 016 (oem on my fz6r) and the pr3's, the 016's were crap, the worst part is that i never knew it as it was the first tyre i had ever ridden with, i just thought i was a crap rider, put on pr3's and OMG, the bike just does what it is suppose to as opposed to the 016's where your always trying to make the bike do what you want it to.

Will stick with the pr3's till they wear out (have only done about 1000k's on them so will have them for a while) but will definitely stick with PRx(what ever it will be when i get my next set) for my next set.

I just put these on my 2013 FJR. I was grinding my pegs on the Tail of the Dragon with them last weekend. LOVE these tires.

I have a 07" FJR with 185, 555 miles on it and now picked up a NOS 08" FJR and now have put 20, 000 miles on it. I have run every 17 inch 120/70 and 180/55 tire I could find (Metzler, Parrelli, Bridgestone, Shinko, Conti). Dolllars per mile the PR 4 even though they are the most expensive they are the way to go. I still ride with a spirited pace in the mountains through SO-CAL but also commute everyday on freeways to work and back. I get consistent 12, 000 miles from he PR4's about 9000 on the PR3's and no more then 8000 on Parelli, Conti and Metzler. and only 5000 or less on Bridgestone and Shinko. The cheapest price is Shinko but, since you have to buy 2 or 3 sets, it is really not cheaper. They all stick good enough to grind footpegs. but the PR4 do handle much more stable on wet, dirt or rough pavement. I have not tried new Avons to hard to find in my area.
I have had good luck in the distant past (pre 1980's) with AVONs before radial tires came out they were the best long mileage tire but you sacrificed grip back in those days. that is one thing today all those tires listed will grip leaned all the way over grinding foot pegs.
