✨Here’s what you need:
• Hair oil (e.g., olive, grapeseed, argan, jojoba, or sweet almond)
• Microwave-safe bowl
• Towel
• Shower cap or plastic wrap

✨Steps:
• Pick a hair oil based on your needs.
• Warm the oil in a microwave-safe bowl for 20-30 seconds.
• Section hair and apply warm oil, focusing on the hair and ends.
• Massage the oil into your hair and comb through with a wide-tooth comb.
• Cover hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap.
• Leave the oil on for at least 5 or 10 minutes or longer for a deeper treatment.
• Rinse with lukewarm water.
• Air-dry or style as usual.

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between doing a hot oil treatment vs an oil rinse?

Can you tell me if I’m supposed to do first: my scalp treatment, wash hair and hot oil treatment ?
Also, how often should we do them ?

My mom absolutely does this and has done it for years. I have locs and I oil my scalp but I’m wondering if hot oil treatment would work for locs too 🤔

So are the wash day steps:
Prepoo, Shampoo, Hot oil treatment, Shampoo, Conditioner?
I am trying to research the correct order of things but there are many different answers

So is a heat cap treatment the same as a hydrating hair mask? 🤔

Do you think this rule can differ depending on the climate of where you live? For example, I live in Arizona where it’s dry and hot most of the year. My hair stylist feels kinky hair types don’t do well with oil here.
