This makes 0 sense . Firstly punk hazard is lava yes but the surrounding medium is water which aokiji could freeze so it makes no sense to say that aokiji had a severe disadvantage. Also akainu can't control the terrain so it would have anyway only been a minor annoyance to aokiji if anything. Regarding the statment of aokiji being the strongest marine it is simply retconed . I guess that means he is also stronger than garp? Which we know isn't true as garp defeated a much later and stronger version of aokiji .
