This video got me angry. This isnt feminism its wanting equality, which i agree with. These ignorant buzzfeed employees dont know how good they have it, in america woman ARE treated equally, they arent in some country where woman are forced to stay inside all day and forced to do house chores, woman CAN get a job and CAN support their family just as much as men do. All modern feminism is in places like usa and uk is a bunch of woman basically saying "we are better than men so we deserve more"

The very word feminism is sexist.
Why can't we just have equality?
There are problems that just men face in society as well, they deserve equal recognition.

"Feminism is not hatred of men"
"Feminism is not making women more powerful than any gender"
"Feminism is not putting anyone down"
"Believing that everyone is equal"
"Not hatred of men"
"Not hating women who adhere to certain beauty standers."
"Jobs should be genderless"
"I don't want to worry about what I am wearing saying more about me than what I'm actually saying."
"Feminism is important because women should be treated like humans, not like objects."
"Feminism is helping women to stand up fro themselves, speak for themselves, in a word where that is not always allowed."
"I don't think society should dictate what it means to be a woman."
I am a feminist

I, myself am a feminist, because I want women to be treated equal in positions of power, to be considered equal in intellect. I am a feminist because I want my child to grow up with the mentality that all genders are equal.

BY DEFINITION FEMINISM IS "the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men." THAT IS LITERALLY ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

I don't believe in feminism, i believe in being an egalitarian

Dear comment section,

For those of you saying you're for equality and not feminism, let me spit some hot fire of truth at you. That's just like saying #AllLivesMatter instead of #BlackLivesMatter.
It's not that the rights of men should be overlooked. It's that women need the support more than men right now. ESPECIALLY women of color, let's not forget that.

So those of you saying you're for equality and not feminism are actually against women. You don't plan to help at all. You probably thing everything is fine as it is. You're neutral, which means you've taken the side of the oppressor. Congratulations. You're an oppressor. How does that feel?

And the thing is, you're probably all nice people otherwise. But you're self-centered and close-minded. That doesn't make you a bad person, it just makes you an ignorant one. I urge you to take a moment to put yourself in the shoes of the people who need your help. Don't assume that you're right. Always look closely at the other side of an argument. Have a bit of empathy. And don't fear what you don't understand. That's what causes 90% of the problems in the world.

Thanks,
A concerned feminist

Anyone else realise 99% of this video is...

i need feminism because I'm too irresponsible, racist, heterophobic, immature and misandrist so i use men as a lame excuse to throw away my responsibilities and be seen as a victim so i can et away with the sane stuff i preach is wrong :)

Feminism isn't about equality. It's the opposite. Egalitarianism is about equality. Hold a 10 min seminar and educate your staff about the actual meaning of the words Buzzfeed.

Okay, let's get this over with. I am not a Feminist. I am Equalitist. This means that rather than just supporting women's rights, I support everyone's rights. I do agree that women need a fair pay, and that their gender shouldn't disqualify them from a job, but neither should race, religion, or culture. If a man hits a woman, it is wrong. If a woman hits a man, it is wrong. If a German hits an Indian, it is wrong. If an African hits an Australian, it is wrong. No bias based on anything other than actions.

I want gender equality and i fight for the rights of *both sexes*. I don't blame men for the unfairness of the world.

I'm proud to be an *egalitarian*.

0:59 "I'm a feminist because I think jobs should be genderless... except garbage disposal, land fill, sewage maintenance, deep sea oil rigging, mining, front line defence, construction, labouring, fishing trawlers, search and rescue, emergency services and all the jobs that aren't high paying, low risk with air conditioning".

I still refuse to call myself a feminist. I think that says a lot considering I am obviously a girl but still reject feminism, even though it says it stands up for my rights. Considering that fact that I also used to call myself a feminist but after seeing what a lot of feminists do and what they believe, it's just not something I want to be associated with. I am not a victim, nor have I ever felt discriminated against as a female. I am tired of feminists telling me I am a 'oppressed' or I am a 'victim' because I have never felt that way in my life.
Also, many of you may play the 'what about women in other countries' card, but seriously, what are YOU doing to help women in other countries? Because I really don't think sitting on tumblr reblogging feminism stuff really qualifies as helping anyone. Simply calling yourself a feminist is NOT helping anyone, all you are doing is empowering yourself.
Feminism is supposed to be trying to achieve 'equality between the sexes' but does it actually live up to that claim? You tell me.

We are not the same, and we will never be the same. So, we can not ever treat each other the same. But we can treat each other equally. Nobody is created or brought up the same, but they should be seen as equals. Modern feminists today appear to see issues in things that usually wouldn't raise an eyebrow. Oh, and if women want to make a difference in media, please do so personally. Stop complaining about it over the internet. Do you feel that you are being under represented in the media, then go out and represent yourself. Do men not create well written female characters? Well can you blame them, since they have not been through what you've been through. If you want change, stop blogging and go out and do it, but don't change things if they aren't broken. Equality means everyone, not just women. To put it more bluntly here is a quote from outspoken feminist and author Camille Paglia, "feminism has become a catch-all vegetable drawer where bunches of clingy sob sisters can store their moldy neuroses."

What about feminism in the middle east, Saudi arabia for example?Women have such little rights compared to yours and yet it doesn't get such heavy attention. We need feminism in these countries!
